Stone pavers and stone steps are generic terms that is used to describe a broad range of natural stone products. Unlike products that are made of concrete and brick, Indiana Limestone pavers and steps are mined from a natural stone deposit or quarry. These products are not man-made nor are they manufactured in ovens using chemicals. Our stone pavers and steps are as natural as you can get.

Because the product is 100% natural, unlike other pavers, these paving stones will stay cool to the touch in the hot summer sun.

Bush Hammer
A rough, pockmarked texture that resembles naturally weathered rock.

A smooth abrasion, which leaves the material with a slightly scratched (but not rugged) surface.

If the standard pattern doesn’t inspire you or suit your vision, create your own own design using standard size pavers.
How to Create Your Own Pattern
Use the smallest square in the pattern as a base unit size, and create ratios to all of the other sizes (how many of the small unit it would take to make the other sizes). Then, apply this logic to all of the sizes in the pattern.
For example, for a typical French pattern, the smallest base size is 8″ x 8″. The other pavers now should be based on multiples of 8″.
- Base size: 8″x 8″ paver is a 1 Unit by 1 Unit
- Other sizes using base: Consider using a 16″ x 24″ paver which would be 2 Units by 3 Units.
Selecting the Right Sized Paving to Make the Pattern
The key is to select pavers that have same ratio. By doing so, you create a beautiful aesthetic with other products. Here is another example of how this works as long as the multiple is the consistent. So if you have a base that is 1 x 1, you can also do half sizes greater or less than the base size.
Example:
- Base: 23-5/8″ x 23-5/8″, Ratio: 1 Unit by 1 Unit
- Another size 1: 11-5/8″ x 23-5/8″, Ratio: 1/2 Unit by 1 Unit
- Another size 2: 23-5/8″ x 35-5/8″, Ratio: 1 Unit by 1-1/2 Units
Patterns can be made with both small and large format pattern pavers – # repetitions per pallet is calculated.

Full Color Blend
A natural compilation of the full range of buff to medium gray shades with the same great subtle veining. The color image is a representation to show the blending of natural colors. This may or may not be undiscernible in real life.
Standard Gray
This beautiful natural color varies from light to medium shades of gray. There is some veining and grain movement visible in the face with a fine to medium grained stone.

These garden steps are designed for a simple, quick and easy cost effective dry-stack application over a compacted granular fill base. Once installed, these height weight steps are difficult to move.
The elegant stone step come standard with a split front, back, and ends, with a sawn top and bottom and are available in both full color blend and standard gray.
